The Southeast Center of Excellence (COE) is a supplementary training option for dedicated and talented youth soccer players born between 2013 and 2011, currently playing at the travel level within the southeast district.
The COE training sessions follow the same developmental framework all current U10-U14 teams follow at the Premier/Elite level and are run by Southeast Soccer Club coaches.
The COE is the entry level of our Developmental Pathway, and aims to teach the players the FUNdamentals needed to play the game at the highest levels.
The COE will be overseen by SSC Developmental Coach & SECJSA Director of Coaching Tom Butler. The COE sessions will be led by SSC Developmental Coach & Connecticut College Men's Soccer Assistant Coach Andrew Storton.
We do not want to remove youth soccer players from their travel programs. We want to borrow them for one evening a week, train them within the most professional environment possible, and then return them to their travel teams.
Players who attend the CEO will not play games or compete in a league. They will simply be part of a training player pool.
